Do you mean just downloading the .ISO file? Or, do you mean installing it? If downloading the .ISO file, then it's just a simple matter of downloading it. If you mean installing, then that would be out of my league because I don't know anything about RAID setups.

No, I mean Installing windows 7, onto a computer with two hard drives, that has RAID 0 already enabled

So you enable RAID. So it's hardware RAID 0 (striping). 2 disks actually acting to computer as 1. You already have the win7 DVD? RAID 0 set is totally empty so no files on it?

    Where do you get stuck?

I get stuck right after It finishes "Installing". I willget the message "Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computers hardware". If I switch from Raid to AHCI, then It's fine, but can't switch beack because It wont find my OS

On a side note, Raid is enabled, and I have the Strip set up. In fact, when i try to install windows 7, It treats them as being one big hard drive, but won't properly install windows7

If you switch to AHCI AFTER installing it works??

I get stuck right after It finishes "Installing".
    Clean Install Windows 7
Did you see picture as in step 9? With all items checkmarked?
It gives "Windows setup could not configure windows to run on this computers hardware" in step 10?

When you perform a clean installation of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2, you may receive the following error message during the device-detection phase of setup:
Windows Setup could not configure Windows on this computer’s hardware.

This error can occur when you try to install Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 on a system if the following situation is true on your PC:

    • You are installing by using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 RTM media.

Note: Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 with SP1 are not affected by this issue.
    • Your system has an Intel storage controller that is configured to "RAID" mode in the BIOS. (This is a standard setting for many PC manufacturers)=>that's true!
    • The hard drive you are installing to is an "Advanced Format" disk.=>that's true

Note Advanced Format disks have a physical sector size of 4 kilobytes and a logical emulated sector size of 512 bytes. "Advanced Format" is a new technology being adopted by PC manufacturers to increase media format efficiency which will lead to larger capacity hard drives. If you are replacing a hard drive in an older PC, you may be more likely to encounter this issue.
What WIN7 are you trying to install (home premium, professional, ultimate)?
    X64 or X86 (64 or 32 bits)?
    What language?

You should use a win7 SP1 install disk!
    ==
This error occurs because of an issue with the Intel storage controller driver that's included in the released versions of Windows 7 and of Windows Server 2008 R2. This issue is resolved in Windows 7 SP1 and in Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.

    Windows 7 Ultimate SP1-U ISO
    English x86: X17-59463.iso
    English x64: X17-59465.iso

    Windows 7 Professional SP1-U ISO
    English x86: X17-59183.iso
    English x64: X17-59186.iso

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1-U ISO
    English x86: X17-58996.iso
    English x64: X17-58997.iso

Download the correct version. Burn to DVD. Install WIN7 from that DVD. Of course establish RAID0-set first.
