    Recovery and boot up

I am working on my brothers girlfriends laptop. It is a Toshiba satellite C875D-S7225 running Windows 7 Home Premium. Somehow the laptop reset to its factory settings and deleted everything. I download Pandora Recovery which kept freezing at 11% and shut down when got to the end of the list of discovered files that been deleted. I tried doing the scan again but the program wouldn't scan again. The only way I could get the laptop to completely boot up is by Safe Mode. When I try to run Windows normally the screen freezes on the welcome screen. I turned off the password hoping it will help. I have also done restore points and try using repair off the installation DVD put can't even get it to use the DVD. Any suggestions?

I'd like to get the laptop to start normally and stop freezing at the welcome screen and try to recover deleted files

Everything that can possibly be done is here for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start
including rescuiing files in Step 9, then getting a superior Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.
