How can i delete the Administrator's account and give a Standard User the same privileges albeit on providing a password?

You can't. That's why Windows has two different account types. Standard user and Administrative user.
You can change the account type of your standard user, making that account administrator, and delete the original administrator account.

You need to have an Active Administrator account if you want to do any administrative activites. DO NOT RUN A STANDARD USER ACCOUNT WITHOUT AN ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT. Doing so will lock you out of your computer.
