    Are Reparse Points and MountVol broken when seen by WinPE or Linux ?

    MountVol shows :-
    Code:
        \\?\Volume{7374db70-7389-11e2-8a06-001e8c888f33}\
            I:\
            E:\Images\
    When I look at E:\Images I see the contents of
    I:\ = \\?\Volume{7374db70-7389-11e2-8a06-001e8c888f33}\

    If I use a Bootable WinPE or Linux CD the drive letters will be different or non-existent.
    What about the GUID {7374db70-7389-11e2-8a06-001e8c888f33}
    Is that fixed in the partition table or is that another figment of Windows imagination ?

    Do reparse points maintain their links between separate partitions and separate HDD's :-
    regardless of whether created by MounVol or MKDIR or tools such as
    Junction Link Magic
    and regardless of any changes in drive letters as seen by different operating systems ?

    Regards
    Alan
