Where can I get a Win7 Home Basic Iso file ? I frankly do not trust torrent downloads and I really need to perform a clean install ..

Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and numerous virtual machines
 
 

Download any of the 64 bit ISO files and then run this tool winisoutils - Windows ISO Disc Image Utilities. This will make the ISO file a universal 64 bit ISO and you will be able to choose home basic from the installation menu. (Works for 32 bit versions too) Does not apply to enterprise versions.

Everything you need is provided here in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
to get a perfect reinstall.

In addition you'll need to install and run the eicfg removal tool on the Win7 ISO file provided in Step 1, to unlock all versions before burning to DVD or writing to bootable flash stick. Then when you boot in to reinstall choose you licensed version from the menu.
