Windows 7 dual boot with Windows 8

Okay, so I have a dual boot setup with Windows 7 and Windows 8, and when I start up my computer it goes straight to windows 8, without asking me what operating system that I want to choose. I want to go to Windows 7 because it has all my programs and files.
Can someone please help?
(Let me know if you need more information of any kind)
Thanks!

I guess you have installed both the OSs in the 500 GB internal?
Download and install EasyBCD free version from the bottom link of EasyBCD - NeoSmart Technologies
Run it. Observe how many boot entries are there?
  • If there is one entry
    1. Click the "add new entry" button
    2. Add a new Windows 7 entry in the "boot" drive by clicking the add entry button
    3. Click "edit boot menu" button
    4. Select the windows 7 entry
    5. Move it up in the order
    6. Check the "yes" box under "default" at the right of the row
    7. in the bottom, make it sure that the "skip the boot menu" is unchecked and it says the "boot default OS after 30 seconds"
    8. Save changes by clicking the button at bottom right corner
    9. Restart computer
  • If there are two entries
    • Start from point 3 above.
Let us know the results.

I installed Windows 8 on a partition of the 500GB internal, so all my Windows 7 files are still there

Have you followed the steps with EasyBCD?

Windows 8 is not happy with Logical drives, does some odd ball things.
Also A: & B: are for Floppy only.

Hello Kozhaikin,

If you like, you could also use either tutorial below to set Windows 7 as the default OS, and to increase the time to be able to select either OS at boot.
(Windows 8)
Startup Options - Choose a Default OS to Run at Startup in Windows 8

Startup Options - Change Time to Wait before Default OS Runs

OR

(Windows 7)
Default Operating System - Change Default Boot OS

Operating System to Start - Change Display List Time
Hope this helps,
Shawn
