Hi there
remember the Y2K stuff -- big ado about nothing -- long before 2038 a solution will be found -- I remember when IBM mainframes only went up to 99/365 (31 Dec 1999) -- and that was fixed.
In any case what sort of device we'll be using in 2038 I have no Idea.
The only thing I can be certain of is the method of electing a Pope will still be exactly the same !! everything else will certainly be a lot different by then.

In the year 2038 if man is still alive and .......we will be using Windows 28
Windows will not be affected by the UNIX Time coming to an end in 2038. Windows does not use UNIX timestamps internally. Windows has a far more future proof design thus larger dates are available.
Unix Time:
32bit: 1 January 1970 to 19 January 2038
64bit: 1 January 1970 to AD 292,277,026,596
Windows Time 32/64bit since Windows 95:
1 January 1601 to AD 30,828
Hi there
is this the start of the worlds FIRST Y3K project (year 3000 is NOT a leap year) !!
Cheers

GREAT NEWS
I have just discovered the absolute cure to any problem that might come up on your Windows 7 PC in the year 2038!
I will guarantee to put the problem right within twenty minutes of your notification of the problem on any day during the year 2038!.
To get put on my list will just cost the equivalent of £25 (that's 25 pounds sterling). I calculate that by 2038 £25 will be worth about tuppence but I am offering a money back guarantee of £25 in 2038 value.
PM me for details of how to send the money to my offshore bank account.
I never knew that the Millenium bug was ill. Quite an accomplishment for a cow with a bell and beanie.
You need say no more....
