Start Orb (Windows logo) -> Control Panel -> User Accounts

Does it say Administrator under your user name? (highlighted in the red rectangle above)

    thanks for the info

lets go look at the log files. go to start>search>type event viewer>go to windows log>application tab.

Look for errors (they have red in left column) there will be alot. look for errors that say something like what your error was. when you find them let us know what event ID they have and what source

    thanks

If we can find out what the restriction is we probably can fix it. but if there isnt anything in the log. wait you get that error when you try to update office, correct. Is there a log in office for errors?
