Calendar Problem

I'm a new member and don't know if this is the correct forum, but I'll take a chance.
This sounds like a dumb question, but I can't figure out the answer.
I am using the google calendar and have never had a problem. A few days ago, when I clicked on the icon the calendar didn't appear. Instead, I got the next tab/search screen. I have tried various fixes but none of them have worked. This must be an easy fix but I just can't find it.

Hello ans welcome danbee look mate I have no idea hat the Google calendar does but just why not just uninstall it and then reinstall it?

As for dumb questions mate here are none just those that are not asked

Done any scans at all if not try downloading these if you haven't got them already and do a scan. Keep them on your computer they are good at picking stuff your main security sometimes misses - nothing is 100% certain.

I can get it with my browser and I can create a shortcut to it with no problem. The stock icon is the problem. It's pinned to the bottom of the screen and just doesn't open the calendar. So it's not an emergency. I just am curious as to why, all of a sudden, the icon doesn't open it. I wonder is there's a way to reassign the address of the google calendar to that icon.

is it installed in your pc then,i always thought google calendar was a web thing, (i dont use it)

you could find it possibly in C:/program-files and see if the exe will launch from there if so ,unpin it from the taskbar launch it from prog files then pin it again ,see if that works. if not ,from prog files try create a shortcut store it wherever you want then launch it it from the shortcut and pin that to the taskbar.

this is assuming its located in program-files.
to find it you could right click the calendar icon on the taskbar select properties and then click open file location.
once you have found the root folder then apply the above to see if it works.

Hum Boobah I wonder if there is any reference to it in HKEY_USER?? if there is nothing in Program files.

What about an > Orb > search >Google calendar or whatever it is attached to??

When I do that when I type "google" (without quotes) it comes up with all sorts of refs to Google and maybe it might come up with that calender item??

Hum see what you mean about the bottom of the screen but I can add it to a desktop icon and also drag and drop it to the favourites bar ( I use shortened titles ).

Go to a vacant Google search right click on the Calendar and drag and drop to the end of the favourites bar.
