Change the max ram to 4096 or just uncheck the box and also check make boot settings permanent and then restart.

Before I unticked the box at the [Maximum memory] spot, when I ran Belarc it told me I had only 3 gbs of ram,now its telling me I have 4 gbs ,so it was the box being ticked that seemed to cause the prob, I am going to increase my RAM up to 8 gigs soon so I hope to see a bit of a difference ,thanks for your help,
