Windows 7 Missing Partitions.

Hi, I have a very strange predicament... i have a computer with four main drives, (I forget their models, but two are WD and the other are ST) and whenever i install windows 7, one of my partitions disappear, first it was drive D: (What I call my 'Media Storage') next it was drive E: (What I call 'Online storage') the drive D would reappear. and then it continued juggling my partitions around. I know the drives work perfectly, (well obviously not....) because when they are recognized they work perfectly. I also know that windows XP has absolutely no problem with the drives (since I always multiboot.) i never make the drives, or the documents on them private, so that I can access them properly, cross OS's. anyone experience this before, or anyone with ay ideas?
