Please help strange memory leak Windows 7 64bit

I cant wrap my head around this strange problem iam having so i shall try and explain it, so i noticed in the task manager that the physical memory (free) was dropping to about 3gb and cached was near 10gb, this happens every time and for the life of me i cannot find the problem.

    please bear in mind ive:

    1. Done a clean install
    2. Run virus scans and malware scans (bear in mind one of the pics has mbam.exe running)
    3. ive performed memory tests and they come back as fine.

    the spec is

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Build 7601
    i7 3770k 3.5ghz
    16gb ram
    asus p8z77v-LX
    2tb and a 1tb hdd

please if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

That's quite a lot of RAM.

If you think there's a problem I'd test it overnight to really stress test the RAM - Test with Memtest86+

If there are errors the tutorial shows how to isolate the stick or slot.

Nothing is wrong! Cache is the same as free. (More memory is cache is a better performing computer, RAM is faster then SDD/HDDs)

You have way too much RAM to be concerning yourself with RAM usage! Stop babying it Windows know how to take care of itself. Surprissed to didn't know that your memory usage is under 3 GB despite "Free" value decreasing, that might have been a hint that "Free" is meaningless.

Again, there is nothing wrong and you have too much RAM to concern yourself with RAM usage.

Also just to clarify cache reaches 14000 and free reaches 0 and stays there.

    Mate,

Just a screenshot of Task Manager won't help. Download SF Diagnostic Tool - Using for Troubleshooting and post us the files.
