    in W7 folder lot of folders can be deleted?


    hello
    in windows folder a lot of folders as olds logs seems to be able to be deleted?And others folders?Can I?

    Maybe, please post a snip of the folders.

    Logs can be deleted, but don`t go deleting any windows files.

    deleting folders in windows7 folder

    Yes I think logs can be deleted,but it s crasy all the sub folder that are writen by W7!!!Thanks

    I'd use CCleaner which provides the industry standard for what can be safely cleaned out by the consumer.

    If you decide to go beyond that and experiment, be sure to save a Win7 backup image first as the OS could easily become unbootable and lose its ability to System Restore even from System Recovery Options

    As a general rule NO.

    Some logs can be deleted but others should not. As the space saved would be very small you should avoid doing do.

    For the average computer user the policy towards the windows folder and all of it's sub folders should be a strict hands off. Any modification of it's contents could cause serious problems.

    In Windows 98 the contents of the Windows folder wasn't even visible with the default configuration. Maybe that wasn't a bad idea.

    I agree with gregrocker. I've use CCleaner for quite a few years it does a good job and it has given me no problems.
