Wrong File Extensions Open all Programs in Start Menu

Start Menu Programs Won't Open Instead they open as a .lnk file and then that's it

There is a few more ideas there, including....
This may help, run the steps outlined in this tutorial, Option Two, and reboot the system:
SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
If that doesn't correct the issue, run it two or more times with a reboot between.
You may get this result:
Code:
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired
them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For
example C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
The system file repair changes will take effect after the next reboot.
Or a message that no integrity violations were found.
Or that Windows Resource Protection found errors it cannot repair, if so rerun the steps above.

Have a look here: Default File Type Associations - Restore and use the one for .lnk (LNK).

Here is what I think happened. At some point I clicked on something that changed the way all the programs in the startup menu opened. Instead of opening the file this is what I get when I click on a program:
file:///C:/ProgramData/Microsoft/Win...20Launcher.lnk

All the programs open with the .lnk extension instead of whatever one it needs to actually open the file.

This is the preferred, best way to upload an image to a post.

You may also upload a photo without using the Snipping tool. The link is dead for me.
