Statup Error Due to power loss, unable to boot from CD/DVD, Black Scree

I was using my computer suddenly power supply went,,,when i started again my computer it gave me an error" windows needs Startup repair",, after "windows starting logo" i could see only Black/Blue Screen with mouse pointer can move on it...
I tried to repair by windows 7 DVD...but after inserting DVD...an option come "press any key to boot from CD/DVD" then i pressed anykey then a message "windows loading files" appeared ,,, then
"windows starting " logo appeared....then after that i can see only black screen with mouse pointer.
even i am unable to install a new copy of window beacuse it is unable to boot..
i saw settings in boot menu and all are set to default.

What is meant by your post #1?

----------

Falak when your had the power problem your bios could of changed due to the power surge.
If it was my computer I would set your motherboard bios back to default and go from their. Your motherboard manual will tell you how to do that.

Please note: I did NOT say update your bios.
Reset to default.

Power supply problems can also cause damage to other hardware in that computer.

Reading this should help.

I will go back to watching and get out of the way.
