Change the default program that opens .dll extension files?

I have made a very large error. I was trying to open a python file that is saved as a .dll and I left the Always use this program check box checked. Now, I am trying to make it where there is no default program or any program to open this file because there are many types of .dll. I have tried deleting the extension and unassociating it. How do I get whre there is no default program that opens any .dll extension.

Uninstall Python. That should dis-associate it from .dll. Then reinstall.

I've been alternating between zipped programs and installers. This played havoc with program associations. Uninstalling worked.

Hello MCouden, and welcome to Seven Forums.

If you like, you can download and merge the .reg file for the listed .dll option in the tutorial below to restore it's default associations.

    Hope this helps, :)
