Ahh the D is system managed. Untick the automatically manage paging file size for all drives and then click on the C: drive and go down to system manage size and then click set - then click ok hopefully this works

The Disk Manager display shows that the pagefile is on the D drive. There is no way Windows is going to allow this partition to be either deleted or formatted until the pagefile is removed. Your best option would be to set "No paging file" in the the pagefile configuration then reboot. You can then delete the D partition and resize the C partition as desired. Then restore the pagefile to system managed.

Are you sure you are not making a mistake by deleting drive D:? On most computers drive D: is the recovery drive. It has the files to restore your computer to the factory image if needed. Maybe that's not the case on yours but I would suggest that you check to make sure.

Here is what I'd do:

As suggested follow the steps here to turn off the paging file and then turn it back on as System Managed, which will make it default to C: Virtual Memory Paging File - Change - Vista Forums

Once Page File is on C, install free Partition Wizard to extend partition easily – Partition Wizard video help. It will take as much space as you want from D to add to C, leaving D intact. D is not a Recovery partition as we can tell by its size and space used.

If you want to get rid of D back up its data to Delete it in Disk Mgmt and then Extend C:
Partition or Volume - Delete
Partition or Volume - Extend
