Plz help
I was getting a preparing your desktop error , so to find the solution . I was reading all the posts in the forum. When i restart , I get a blank user asking for password and username. I tried all my useraccount's username and password , but its saying wrong username or password . Now i cannot start my system at all plz help

By what do you mean you cannot turn on your computer? Does the pc start at all?
Hello bendy , I can start the computer , I get a dialogue box which asks for password and username. The image is blank. I have 4 useraccount's and I tried all of them to login but it shows incorrect password or username . So the desktop doesn appear

Did you try to boot into safe mode? Here is how Advanced Boot Options
If you can try and run the sfc /scannow command. Here is how: SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
Thanks for replying , but when I start in safe mode , the same happens it asks for password and username and the image is also blank

Try System Recovery Options.
If necessary the Win7 DVD is provided in these steps for Troubleshooting Windows 7 Failure to Start.
But if you're locked out by a password your only option may be to reinstall because we will not help you crack passwords here. Why do you not know your password? Whose PC is it?
