Is it possible to recovery the deleted recovery partition that was on my hard drive?
Since I deleted the recovery partition I have installed various os's etc however ultimately want to take the machine back to factory settings with all the various tweaks that Lenovo had put on it initially?

It you deleted it and repartitioned back over it not likely. If you didn't create a set of recovery disks you'll likely have to order a set from the manufacturer. Doing the factory restore from the recovery disk set "might" restore it. Even if it doesn't it will put your PC back to the factory state with all the Lenovo tweaks etc.
The factory preinstall is an inferior version of Win7 smothered by sponsored bloatware and useless duplicate utilties which have better versions built into Win7. No tech enthusiast would run such an install, most choose instead to Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

In general terma Greg is right. A new install with a clean copy is preferable.
There are, however, systems where you need the manufacturers utilities in order to make custom settings for custom features. Fingerprint readers and backlit keyboards are an example. Those functions do not come with a vanilla operating system.
Some OEM features require drivers or software from the OEM's Support Downloads webpage. This procedure is detailed in the tutorial.
