How do i change unwanted keyboard shortcuts?

All of a sudden my computer has started acting weird, for example the down arrow key automatically goes to the end of the page instead of scrolling, when i type v it goes to the URL and microsoft word will not let me type a capital b without the grammar check coming up, i don't remember accidentally hitting something but i would like to know how i can get this back to normal.... any answers are welcome

Welcome to the Seven Forums.

Please open the on-screen keyboard and test those same things using it.

Go to Start and type in on-screen into the field named Search programs and files
(take note: there is a hyphen between on and screen)

Let us know how it goes.

Check if your alt, shift or ctrl key has been accidentally pressed and is still depressed.

sorry for interfering now:

Check this, hope you will be able to solve the problem:

You have actually simultaneously pressed the < Ctrl > and < Shift > keys – usually this is unintentional and a result of wild

keyboarding. This hotkey sequence toggles your keyboard’s layout to another language.

You are also likely non-American and have (knowingly or unknowingly) configured at least one additional non-USA

keyboard. For our clients, you are likely Canadian and have the Canadian keyboard with US and Multilingual options

Finally, the default settings of Windows 7 OS allow you to toggle between keyboard configurations via the keyboard

shortcut of < Ctrl > + < Shift >.

No.... pressing Crl + Shift hasn't fixed anything either. And also I'm not Canadian..... one look at the flag under my user name tells you quite obviously that I'm Australian...

A few more things to try before calling for a person trained to deal with infections:

1) Borrow a physical keyboard and test with that.
(as opposed to the on-screen one that we tested with earlier)

2) Run this 3 times SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker
(reboot each time it claims to have fixed stuff - run the scan again and again)

3) Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
