Hi ADOE and welcome to Seven Forums.

Your problem seems to be that the partition is not formatted to NTFS and there doesn't seem to be any space on it. Please have a look here: Clean Install Windows 7

Do you have any data on the hard drive?

More detail is needed. What exactly are you trying to do as it appears you already have a version of Windows 7 installed. Are you trying to upgrade that one or install a second instance of the OS?

Can't remember the exact error, but my brother had a similar issue installing Win 7 and after hours of troubleshooting HDDs, worked out that he had to use a DVD to install 7, trying to install from USB caused that error or something similar

Are you trying to install from USB or DVD ?

How to Remove Linux and Install Windows on Your Computer

Forgot to mention, If you want to retain Linux and choose to modify the existing Linux partitions to allow more room for a Windows partition, Microsoft will not support Windows installed in this manner.

Since you can't shrink the Linux partition while Ubuntu is running (because it is using it), you will need to boot into Ubuntu using a LiveCD or LiveUSB -- and then run GParted to shrink the partition to make some room. Don't format the new unallocated space -- the Win7 installer will let you do that.

Windows 7 thinks it's out of hard disk space but there's 150GB left
Windows 7 is insisting it has run out of harddisk space, despite the fact that there is 137gb free. I can clear out further space, but it appears to have no effect on the problem. No programs can write to the disk (I only have one harddrive, C), nor can any file, however tiny, seem to be created. I...
