I thought XP was the last OS to use NTLDR. Are you dual booting XP?

Is there a CD/DVD in the optical drive? If yes, remove it and see what happens.

It must have had XP on it. Is there any kind of boot menu that displays when you start up the PC?

Please post back screenshot of Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image - Windows 7 Help Forums.

Also Win7 should never hang or bog on adequate hardware when you have a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which would give you the opportunity to delete all partitions on the HD and get a completely fresh start with a perfect install.

Here's the story for you to solve....

The Win7 works fine......by itself. however, I have 3 additional HDDs for data storage etc. The new copy of win7 doesn't like sharing the tower with the terrabytes. Hence NTLDR missing. The PC bloke was too busy with a shop full of customers to advise me. He smiled & mentioned that i have to go into Netbios and do something. That's all i got out of him. Its a Gygabyte GUI & i'm lost.
