Did you try burning a DVD with the tool? If it doesn't work use ImgBurn at 4x speed.

The tool I use for making stick bootable when others fail is UltraISO Software To Create Bootable USB Flash Drive. Be sure to click the format button first, then Write.

if you should get the bootsect error using UltraISO then the stick may need to be wiped with Diskpart Clean Command to clear it of boot code which is blocking the write.

What size is the USB drive?

In Windows Explorer, format it to FAT32....then try again.

The UltraISO Software worked. My computer is up and running again! Thank you so much for your help along with everyone else who helped me with my issue :)

Follow these steps so we can check that the installation and activation are all good:

    1. Download and save this tool to your desktop:
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012

    2. Run the tool, and then click 'Copy' - ignore any errors if they appear

    3. Use CTRL+V to paste the unedited results of the validation tool here in your next reply
