Fresh Build, Windows 7 will not Boot
Let me get this out of the way ...new to forum so please be nice. Thank you for your time. I have now spent around 8hours trying to fix this. Patience is thin.
had a previous system build of a asus sabertooth x58 with a i7 bloomfeild, 12 gb or ram, 3 hard drives in which i had windows 7 ulitmate 64 bit on a velociraptor 300 gb with 2 wd 150 gb drives as extra space. esstential i had an outdated gaming rig. nothing over clocked except for the dram. Was 1200 made it 1600.
Decided to Build a new rig. Bought a i7 sandy 3550k, as rock z77 extreme 6 mb, left hard drives the same, except added a samsung ssd drive, also added 2 times 8gb g skill memeory at 1600. purchased a newer evga gpu. kept the original psu. trust me it ample enough supply. anyway...
Boot first time got the windows blue death screen ....tried to repair ...leaves me with unplug portable media player or camera. lol...
Did a fresh install on the samsung ..how i am typing now. Everything works fine. Never deleted the old version because it was on the old velicoraptor drive 300gb.
in summary ....wondering if you replace essentially all hardware except for the drives is it impossible to get that original version of windows 7 to run?
Can I take this new versions information and swap the autoexe files or something along that route to the old versions files to make boot up from the old version... essentially bypassing the bsod?
