Windows Wont boot in Administrator Account

Hi,
My laptop (HP-Compaq-Pentium Core Duo-Win 7 Ultimate) suddenly refused to start normally in my admin account. It will stop after welcome screen. Blank/Black screen appears and mouse pointer is moving over it.
(same happens in safe mode )
When i press Ctrl+Alt+Del.. few options come up like Lock the Computer,Switch User, Log Off and Change The password.. here Start Task Manager is missing

If i log off and use the guest account,same thing happens (blank screen with mouse pointer movable). But here if i press Ctrl+Alt+Del..along with other options "Start the task manager" options is present . So in task manager i can start the new explorer.exe in New Task tab and my desktop appears...

what is the solution ?

note:- i tried sfcscannow and it did not help. startup repair wont help. previous restore point wont help.
sfcscannow always come up with error that previous restart is pending....

no disk image..but i have frequently created sys restore points

this might be a problem of your system hardware. if not You can most likely fix your problem by using System Restore. Here is how it works:
1. Keep tapping F8 during the early boot phase.
2. Select Repair from the menu.
3. Enter the Administrator's password when prompted. It is often blank.
4. Select System Restore when prompted.
5. Set Windows back to a point before this problem occurred.

I would recommend a system restore. I don't think there is an issue with your hardware, but sounds more like there is a corrupted windows file that is causing some issues after the welcome splash screen.

Use the Win7 DVD or System Repair Disk to run System Restore from System Recovery Options.

If it fails from those Options' Command Line run SFC /SCANNOW Run in Command Prompt at Boot.

Since you can get to the desktop try creating a new Admin-level account to see if it functions correctly: User Account - Create - Windows 7 Help Forums.

If so you can try repairing the old User account using Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 or eventually decide to move your data over to the new User Account and delete the old one.

You can also take this opportunity to get a perfect Clean Reinstall which steps are the same for retail. Then save a backup image so you never have to reinstall again, have a perfect install better than 95% of all others, and will keep it that way as long as you stick with the tools and methods given.

As i stated in my problem(1st post) the system restore was of no use and it made me stuck @ the black screen

Secondly,i can get to the desktop..but as said in the problem, it is in the GUEST account..so its not allowing me to create any new user account with admin permissions

and lastly as i stated in the problem post..whenever try SFC / SCANNOW.. it shows error you have previous restart is pending.... and after restart it again says pending restart when i run sfc command

btw how restore point differs from system image ?

since task manager is missing
it is pointing towards virus-spyware infection

better to create a new user account via command prompt and then scan ur PC with ur total security , malwarebytes
when u will get the name of that virus , search google for recovery-solution (FIXES )for infected pcs by that specific virus

if u have old win 7 backup image then use it

You did not say your ran System Restore or SFC /scannow from the DVD or Repair CD's System Recovery Options.

Did you try creating the Admin User account from the DVD or CDs Command Line as given in Option 3 of User Account - Create - Windows 7 Help Forums?
