a required priveledge is not held by the client

    Hi
the crux of my problem is that i am trying to reset my printer counter (epson r265) with software from (th-inkstore)

i can download the 2 files i need but always get an error when running the first one, which needs me to change the date in order for the program to run, this i do and the same error message always appears which is the one in the title.

have of course googled this problem and the solutions are varied but all involve right click "c" and properties etc etc.

now not being expertly computer literate, can do a lot but this really is frustrating me, no matter what i do it never works, anyone help would be immensely grateful.

after clicking auto in the unzipped file , up comes a command window with the flashing command prompt, upon entering the change of date to 20-01-07 the above message appears in the command screen and i cannot get this part to work due to the error, would be pulling my hair out if only i had any.

a little miffed that epson want you to send for an engineer at a cost of more than the printer was originally because they make a limit of 16000 pages printable before telling you that a service is due, possibly illegal as its never been mentioned when purchasing a printer to my knowledge.

    hope sks can assist me.

cant buy a new model of this type as its discontinued

    maka

Try right clicking on the program and select Properties. Check Run as Administrator at the bottom and save it, see if that helps. If not, try running in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode.
