To better help us to help you would you please add your systems specs? Here's the correct way to do it. :SystemInfo See Your System Specs Under System Manufacturer/Model Number add whether it is a desktop or laptop and whether self built. Very important

Log in to Seven Forums and you will be able to transfer the info directly to the specs page in your profile from within the System Info app.

After doing this your specs will be available in each of your posts.
Click on My system Specs in the lower left of this post to see how it should look.
Full instructions are in the tutorial.

Well, he says that at least is an HP, taking into account that OEMs don't disable visual effects, I can deduce he is using 7 Starter... And sadly enough, he will never be able to enable full Aero (transparent windows) unless he upgrades to a more complete version of W7... By the other hand, upgrading to another version can cause slowdowns (starter is normaly used for low end machnes)... unless the OEM installed starter just to give a better price for the whole PC...

Hope he can fullfull his system specs, but by now the best bet is that this is W7 starter and Aero is not available, even the butchered version...

Would it be possible to convert a .swf file to .png while preserving the transparency? Also could I get the .png in high resolution? I would prefer a free solution, but if I have to pay, I suppose that's fine.

Help! Gadgets gone transparent!
Some of the gadgets on my laptop have recently gone transparent. I have no idea why this might be the case because "Opacity" is set to 100% and they used to look just fine... Specifically, the (default) clocks appear normal, but the default currency exchange and Weather Underground ones look...

Transparent Wallpaper
When using a solid desktop color on XP, I could place a .PNG with a transparent (invisible) background and it would work; this allowed me to change the desktop color without having to change the color of the image's background to match it. This doesn't work for me currently; its showing the...

Taskbar is transparent
I just pruchase a new PC with Windows 7. All was going great until I notice that the task bar is transparent and unusable. It seems that the last time I saw it was when I dragged it up to the very top of the screen to get it out of view. The space on the desk top is there for the task bar but...
