Cpu gets overheated

I'm using Compaq Presario CQ62-103tu laptop, and here is my complete config of my laptop.

Processor-core i3
Memory- DDR2 2 GB
HDD- 250 GB
Graphics- Intel

When i use my laptop with charger it works fine, but when i use with battery power or when current turns off suddenly my laptop hangs and i couldn't do anything. I tried cooler pads with my laptop, but the prob doesn't gets solved. Please someone help me in this....

Your battery could be messed up. That's the only thing I can think of.

Check your Power settings in Control panel for when running on battery. Sounds like the fans don't run enough or fast enough on battery.

I'm using cooler pad which got 24,000 RPM, but still i can't find any solution

Also try blowing any dust out that is built up in the fan and computer.

Here is the link to the manual saying how to take certain parts apart to get into the internal components to actually clean the dust out. Go to Section 4 under contents.

did you follow the dust clean out suggestion and do you operate the laptop on a hard surface? A laptop isn't really meant to be on a lap or soft cushion which can and do block the vents on the bottom.

Compaq computers are the cheap line of computers. Besides a good cleaning (remove keyboard), I would suggest reapplying thermal past to the cpu. Check to see if the fan is mounted properly.
