Unable to start most programs, error (0xc0150004)

    Remove AVG. Use AVG online uninstaller. Install this from Microsoft.

    Can't uninstall AVG, or any program in the uninstall menu for that matter. Clicking the button does nothing.

    What buttons are you referring to?
    Are you in the Add and Remove program?
    Are you the administrator?

    Try system restore from "recovery environment".
    Advanced Boot Options then "repair your computer"

    Thanks, i'll try that. If it doesn't work I can always just install Windows again, i've got all the drivers on a flash drive and I just built the computer on Sunday. Not gonna lose much.

    Oh, I was in the uninstall programs menu. Mine has a button that says uninstall, don't know if it's different than yours. But it wouldn't do anything when I clicked it.

    I only have once account, so i'm assuming that it was an administrator.
