Computer freezes and makes static like noises

I don't remember exactly when this started a bit over two weeks ago my computer just froze when playing music really loud it has been happening ever since at least twice a day. Recently it started happening sometimes after I log in. It almost always happens when I play games that push my computer.

Have you tried updating or reinstalling the Sound driver? Run all Important and Optional Updates after enabling Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware (Step 3). If that doesn't help import the latest Sound driver from the PC's Support Downloads webpage for your exact model.

The problem may be with the inferior Factory Pre-installed Win7 with all of the bloatware and duplicate utiltiies which have better versions built into Win7. These throttle Win7 from its native performance and causes issues.

That's why most tech enthusiasts will not run such an install but instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7. Everything is provided in the blue link tutorial.

At the minimum I'd Clean Up Factory Bloatware.

If this doesn't resolve performance problems, work through these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7.

Sorry my internet was being weird the past few days. I have already updated my sound drivers the only thing I haven't done is a clean reinstall. I'll wait and see if it happens again
