Startup Folder

So how does the startup folder work if I added programs to that folder such as Internet Explorer and Skype will they automatically open when I first log onto my computer have wondered about that for a few years

Hello techtitan,

As long as the programs do not require to run as administrator (elevated), then yes doing that will have them open and run at startup for you when you log in.
