I did log in with Matteo account and attached is the registry screen.

I have the sensation that now there are two accounts which are brand new: madmatt and Matteo

Do you think the old Matteo (with all my data of few years) is impossible to log with therefore I have lost all my data?
I also checked the c:\ and the space is not as free as the two new brand accounts are so the old data are still there but impossible to access?

What is your ultimate advise?

Did you back up you files ?

The old Matteo keeps getting the Vaio name next to it.

What does the C:\Users folder have what names

yes I did back up my files on an external hard disk.

In case I must upload the files will I use twice the space in the HD?

Attache the file with the users log in with Matteo account

Can you restart the PC log into madmatt account inside Safe Mode with Networking . Let me know what the folders names inside C:\Users and a reg query as a text file .

It could be that the Matteo account got highly corrupted .

well it is already 1:00 am here and tomorrow unfortunately I have to get up early.

I'll do that tomorrow but I think is better to prepare already some scenario:

In case my original account Matteo got so higly corrupted I could not access it anymore what shoud I do:

a) Reinstall Win 7 Premium Home. How to do so if I don't have any disk/dvd?
b) Keep two accounts, one admin other standard for day to day use and upload old data on the last one. Does it mean my HD will be charged with twice as many data?
c) We can find a clean access to my Matteo original account

What are your thoughts

You could access the files from within Logged into madmatt . When you're logged into madmatt go to C:\Users click on Madmatt and move the data you need like folders " Favorites , Music , Video , Documents , Desktop "

If you want to do a clean installation click on the link below has everything you will need including a link to download a legit iso for Windows 7
