    "MBR Error 3" at startup

When I turn the computer on, at the boot screen I get a "MBR error 3" message before windows boots up. Windows boots fine, but I just want to get rid of that message. I already tried restoring the MBR via the MBR - Restore Windows 7 Master Boot Record

    tutorial, but no luck.

I suspect you have acronis and perfect disk. Looks like your ran a defrag in perfect disk and acronis is puking that error. info here http://www.archivum.info/alt.comp.os...s_Boot_Manager.

    Hope this helps

sorry zigzag, but that link isn't working for me... is it short enough that you could post it?

btw, your're right, I do have perfectdisk and acronis, but I think this problem began when i tried installing a Hackintosh OS...

Edit: when I tried installing OS X Leopard osx86 I didn't yet have Acronis, but I did have PerfectDisk
