    deleting search history - wordpad I think


    Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this. But I've been trying to figure how to delete the wordpad search history. The problem isn't the "most recent file list" but the browsing list. See attachment. I want to do this manually without installing any extra programs. Any help is appreciated. Btw I'm not quite sure that it's wordpad since the list popped up again when I went to add the attachment.

    I got it! I opened the registry and went to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\

    I then deleted anything with MRU in the name.

I use "history" to revisit a session but someone has started deleting it all the time, there are several in the house using the computer. Is there any way I can "lock" or make it inaccessible by any chance? Can one disable the Ctrl/Shift/Del function???
Greetings I've tried highllighting the entries and pressing the delete button and that clears them. But when I close and reopen the browser, they're back. I'd like to permanently delete them without clearing the stored user names and passwords. Firefox 3.6.12 IE 8 Help!
