unable to see folders in system32

I am experiencing kind of an amazing problem. Whenever i move some data or create a folder in System32 folder, it gets hidden automatically and am unable to see it again, whatsoever. It simply vanishes! I tried system restore but it was of no help. Can somebody help, please?
I had initially moved some sensitive data to that folder and now i am unable to access that!
