    My Laptop Wont charge

hey ive been using my laptop for quite some time and it doesn't seem to charge. i cant return it as i got it from someone else. when it is so call charging the battery icon in the bottom right corner of windows 7 doesn't seem to go up and if i pull the the charger out the system just turns off and goes black. basically i cant use my laptop if the chargers not in it which is bad as that means i cant take it around while im traveling.

Hi Mukz. A little off subject but important.
You specs show you don't have a anti virus. Thats not good. You absolutely need a anti virus program.

The best free anti-virus is MSE in my opinion. Made by Microsoft :)
    Microsoft Security Essentials

As for the charging problem, my sister has the same problem. It seems batteries tend to die after a few years of use. Look up the make of your laptop, and try to find a replacement battery for it. They will cost between £5-£20, depending on the manufacturer :)

Well, with what everybody has already said, a replacement battery is definitely a good idea for you. Do you always leave it on and charged? IF SO: your laptop should not be always charging if there is enough battery power to last you until your next charge. If you keep the charger in the port for too long it can make your battery worse so be aware of that when you get your next battery if you don't know that already. Good luck!

If you want to know more on batteries, assuming yours is Li-Ion, go here:
