Well Incredimail is a pain and if I didn't like to make my own stationery I doubt I would stick with it. I couldn't get the program to come back. I read the instructions but nothing matched with what I found. I have a big file of Incredimail in my programs folder but don't know what to do with them. That is ok I have put back the email addresses and everything. Am hoping to get help on how to set the IM pop in files I pop in from 4 gmail accounts. Those accounts are set properly it is in my IM program that I can't get them working. I had the instructions written down and followed them exactly but still nothing. I wrote to a group that does just incredimail so I could save you the trouble of that.
I still do not have permission to burn anything and I have absolutely no clue how to do any kind of wiping out the pc and putting stuff back in. I would have to take it in to be repaired. I guess I just can forget burning anything and live with what I have. Won't kill me. I can't get the file, edit. view bar to stay. I did go into the network and organize and layout and check it but nothing happens. I know I can hold down alt and get it. One bar didn't show up and I don't know what it is called but the cat leaped on my keyboard and the bar showed up in a different place but I am not going to argue with his work. I will try and change my email here but if I can't will check back here later this evening. I am in Sweden and many hours ahead of America. Thank you as you are very patient and kind to me.

Bonnie, may I suggest if you use GMail to set it as your Home Page and access your mail there? This is much easier than trying to pop it into an unnecessary 4th party mail program. You have plenty of storage on GMail for free so you can make your folders there and easily manage them. This is how most users handle mail nowadays.

I am sorry that your burner is still not cooperating. I'm not sure why you changed User accounts if creating a new one didn't solve the problem. There is likely another solution. Have you tried using ImgBurn? This tutorial shows how it's used: Burn Almost Anything to Disc with ImgBurn

I thought that maybe if I used the new account and rebooted it would make a difference. By the time I found out it didn't change anything I had messed up! I can change it back and see if things go back to the way they were?
I have to burn in PAL but I can download the new one suggested just to see if it would work although the ones suggested 2 days ago won't accept, those are both PAL choices. I will wait a bit and see if you think I should just move back to my old account. Do I do just what I did before and change the new one over to the old. When I sign in the old one still shows and I have to click on the new one. Sorry I always thought when you did something you had to reboot to get it to work properly. Thanks and I will check out the newest burner. Ok this is going to blow you away. I put in the IMGburner I read it had PAL I read it didn't have PAL. Frankly looking at the how to do's and what the choices are I have no idea what I am doing. I did get something that showed DVD on the right side but I couldn't find a place to make it PAL and when I tried to browse to the video folder they are all AVI's and don't show up on the burner. I am guessing it doesn't burn AVI.
The reason I want the mail in Incredimail is because all of my friends use it and I own a group that sends out incredimail stationery to others. Gmail doesn't show the entire email stationery and that is one of the reasons for having the mail popped in. I have written to incredimail support and to a group that helps with incredimail help.

I would revert to your old Account if the new one didn't resolve your problem, which would be the only reason to use a New account. Make sure you move all your files back before deleting the new account. When you delete it in Control Panel>User Accounts have it put the deleted account's files on your desktop so you can find any you've forgotten.

What is PAL? Your original problem was trying to burn animal videos to disk, requiring a converter which is often a problem to get to work right. It would be much better to just copy the .avi's to a CD, DVD or flash stick, or attach them to an email so they can be played on any other PC just by clicking on each. Trying to convert so they play in a CD player is too much trouble.

Keep asking back any questions until we get them all cleared up.

ok will redo or undo the administrator thing. I live in Sweden. Europe uses a PAL system on our dvd's. They do not play in America as American dvd's do not play here unless you have a dvd player on the tv that plays both. We do but our kids do not and the get the cartoons. My husband insists all videos be on our tv screen and I don't know how to do it differently than burning a dvd. I am sure there are other ways but I have no one to show me and my husband is brilliant in languages and intelectual things but hopeless in even working the remote controlls to set a program on the tv. Will get back after I do what you said.

It worked! Well I got back my IE looking almost the same and my email is all set up and working again. Even got my old emails back! Just some folders missing but I can live without them and find the info again. I changed the new administrator account I did yesterday to standard as I couldn't delete it. I click in as Administrator - the original one - and when I go to manage other accounts I have to click on the new one and click on delete and I get an error that says I can't delete as it is running. But I will just click on the right one from now on. Never had to before. hmmm I tried one more time to put the avi file on the burner and again was rejected. Wish I could set restore point back to 5 weeks ago but then all the junk would be back in here and the restore points allowed are only for the day before.
It is 11pm and I need to get to bed. Thank you for your help today and I will check in tomorrow. Good Night

You'll need to Log Off the old account before it will delete, but wait a few days to make sure you have everything.

You have some videos downloaded in .avi format that you wish to burn to CD or DVD to play on the TV, correct? Have you burned these this way before, and what worked then?

I had a convertxdvd program (I thought was free a friend sent it to me) just found out it wasn't when it popped up saying I needed to buy it! I have used it for years. At least 6 years I think. Never had a single problem with it. I burned some dvd's of cartoons and had some you tube videos my husband and I wanted to see, programs of our country singers from before 1985. The day after I had burned the cartoons I went to burn the avi's for us and I got that stupid admistrators permission required. It never made sense as I turned off the pc and turn it on a few hours later and it wouldn't burn!

    try this:
    right click and click properties
select the security tab on the top
    select advanced
    select the owner tab
    click edit
click you're user account, if you are the only user on the system and are an administrator, i'd recommend just selecting administrators. :) hope this help!

If the program has worked for you before (and it's hard to find one that does for that) then I would consider buying it. If you reinstall it then it may work for you as it did before. But when prompted that the trial is up and you must purchase it, I would consider it based on how much you use and value it. Someone may know freeware that works as good.

Make sure you are always operating under an Admin-level account. This is the account which is set up when you first install or set up your PC, and should remain that level unless you have other users you as the owner don't want changing things.

You can check the Admin status of the account in User Accounts, as you've already seen.
