I have Microsoft Office Starter 2010 I think it was updated after I downloaded it, everything else I had to buy, and Notepad.
I have the 4 recovery discs I made in January of 2012 and one disc dated the same that I wrote System Repair on. That is the back up I need correct?
Is there more that I need? Since everything costs money and our pensions were cut by $2000 a month because we had to take early pension because of illness they are now taking the money out of our pension. I checked everything under users is in my external. I will un plug the externals and all the other things as the video said. Do we talk for real or do we have to type back and forth? Question being do I keep my speakers plugged in.

If MS Office Starter came preinstalled on your PC then it will be restored when you run Recovery. Otherwise it is no longer available for download since MS is providing free cloud Office services in Office 13: Microsoft begins phasing out Starter edition of its Office suite | ZDNet

What software did you buy exactly? Do you still have the installers and Product Keys? You should not have to buy any software again but we need to make sure you have it available to reinstall if it's something you want to keep.

I downloaded the Microsoft word program it wasn't in my pc. I have no idea what programs came in the pc. I didn't buy any thing extra to put in the hard drive. I think I got the Microsoft program because I had an old cd that needed that to open it. It is filled with stories I have written hoping for a children's book. I guess I have lost them now.
So I don't have any product keys unless they are somewhere on the pc but a search doesn't show anything. I did find this to download it says it is free. Microsoft Word - latest version free download. Install new version 2013
Is there anything else I need if the one we will try doesn't work? I was looking through my programs and saw Recovery folder. I clicked on it and the choices are not the minimal it is factory default.

This free program will allow you to see what you have installed and if there is a registration number it will also give it to you.

Belarc Advisor - Free Personal PC Audit, for software, hardware and security configuration information on your computer. Software license management, IT asset management, cyber security audits, and more.

Please don't post any registration or COA numbers.

If you have no paid software installed then you can post the Belarc Report the way it is, going to the browser Tools>File tab to Save file, attach using paper clip in reply post. The Win7 Product Key cannot be used since it's a SLP factory mass activation key and not the one on your COA sticker.

Almost every factory OEM PC has Office preinstalled on it, but those with Office 2010 installed had the free Starter version which works fine on its own. So if you had Starter it most likely was preinstalled at the factory since that's the only way it was distributed unless you got ahold of a download while it was still floating around.

So chances are you will again have Starter when you do Factory Recovery. If not you'll need to look into the current free version of Office Word which is only available as web app. Then there is also an excellent compatible Office suite available for free from http://www.openoffice.org/.

Sure hope this all works out. Supposed to storm and it is cool and gray so can't today.
I remember getting out my cd with my stories on and they wouldn't open I had to go and get the freeware that was on microsoft. I thought it strange that they didn't have something on it. Must be a "monday made pc".
I ran the Belarc file and I go to the files at the top and save as and save to a folder on my desktop and when I try to attach it I get that it is an invalid file form. I copied and pasted it to my email and put that in the folder but invalid again. What do I do?

Just save it to the desktop (without a folder) and then attach it to your reply.

It failed to copy and paste into the Word Document. Perhaps it's because you involved email for some inexplicable reason.

You can also try printing but choose XPS Document instead of your printer in the drop down menu on Print box. Then save to Desktop and attach, or copy and paste that print.

I don't have a printer we can't afford the ink. Is there a private email you can message me that I can send the copy I made on my email? I can copy and paste here maybe like I did some of those other scans that wouldn't attach??
