    Stopped Working Error!


    I'm getting COM Surrogate has stopped working on windows 7 64bit.
    Any ideas please?

    Hi up2nogooduk, This error usually applies to faulty codecs for image files , Try reinstalling the codecs you are using.
    Have a look at this Fix for COM Surrogate Has Stopped Working Error in Vista It's for Vista but also relates to Win7 :)

    Not sure what codes i have installed. how do i tell?
    Also the link u sent, i followed it but won't work with 64bit? does that turn the warning off?

    The link didn't work for me either but the properties of the link did,
    Right click the hyper link and click on Properties and copy and paste the http....into a New session,
    Try this one,
    Fix for COM Surrogate Has Stopped Working Error in Vista
    You can also right click the hyperlink and click on open in new window or new tab.

    Anyone else go any ideas ? that link is for 32bit.. i really thought someone would know? as for the codes, what codes do i use?

    Hi up2nogooduk , Sorry for missing your post , Try these codecs Windows 7 Codecs Pack for Windows Media Player WMP12 and Media Center these do contain the 64bit versions :)
