Yes you can do that although if it will boot you can use Disk Management - Post a Screen Capture Image - Windows 7 Help Forums ,

or download the Partition Wizard CD ISO and burn to CD with Windows Img Burner, boot it to take a camera snap, attach in reply box using paper clip icon.

Thanks for your help guys. I got some help from somewhere else because I was having trouble with your guys' steps haha. Anyway, it was determined that there apparently is no Malware on my computer and things seem to be working fine now...kind of. My computer boots up just fine in normal mode now.

However, now I am getting random restarts, like my computer freezes then shuts off. I assume this is hardware related. Any ideas on how to pinpoint this problem? I have noticed since I unplugged my laptop, I haven't had any shutdowns. What could this mean?

Which steps were you having problems with? Please be specific so we can tailor our help for you better. You do know that the blue links are tutorials?

Who was able to get Win7 booting for you and how?

If it's stable enough now work from these Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 including the hardware tests, establishing a Clean Boot, and the other steps. Ask back if you have any questions this time.

If the laptop is restarting only when charger is plugged in then it could be a problem with the charger. If this becomes even more apparent i would take it to a shop (Geek Squad works) and have them plug it into their universal charger to see if that resolves it. Then you can replace the charger - the best price is often on eBay though you must spec it carefully.

I just don't have a CD burner available so was having trouble. Anyway, I got it working from a place I got help from a year ago. Here's the thread: http://www.techspot.com/community/to...-again.194291/

My computer seems to be more stable now. I haven't had a reset or BSOD for about half an hour plugged in. I did a stress test on my processor and saw no problems. Seems like things may have worked themselves out for now?

Here's a screenshot of what you requested attached.

I really appreciate your help.

We have top Malware specialists in our Security forum if you need them.

I would move the Paging File to C so D isn't deemed a System partition. Change Virtual Memory Paging File

I would go over install closely using the Troubleshooting Steps for Windows 7 which will tell you a lot about your Win7 and turn up possible problems.

You can also easily extend C into empty space on D using the cool new feature to extend partition easily with Partition Wizard - video help. Be sure to use the boot disk which never fails.

Thanks for the tips. I tried to move the Paging File, but it said I was too low on space. Should I do a custom size and make it smaller?

My C drive is a solid state, while my D is a regular hard drive. It's some sort of hybrid system, I don't really know how it works. Should I still extend C into empty space on D? I have pretty much trimmed all I can on C and have 1.5 GB free.

D is clearly shown to be a partition on DISK0, which appears to be a 750gb HDD. If you have a 32gb caching SSD used for paging perhaps you should leave it alone if you didn't change the page file to D yourself, and if it is functioning correctly. I am not sure how your system manages the page file onto the SSD. Do you have this?

I showed you how to easily add space to C above.

No I didn't change that. OK I will add space to C, I thought it would cause problems since one is an SSD, and one is not. I do not know how my system manages the page file (I don't really know what that is).

After working great last night, my computer is restarting again. Sometimes it freezes then just restarts, sometimes it blue screens, sometimes it goes black for a bit and a pop up says something like "the AMD drivers have recovered from a failure." I am in Safe Mode with networking and have not had a restart yet. Booting hung once again as well. I will go over the various troubleshooting techniques you posted a few posts ago, anything else I should try to pinpoint this problem?

C and D are on the same HDD. You can see that in the Disk Mgmt screenshot. No separate SSD is shown.

Does your PC advertise that it has a 32 gb SSD for speeding up performance? If so this is likely intended for the page file. But it is RAIDED so doesn't show up as a separate HD.

If this is the original Factory Preinstalled Win7 I would strongly consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to dump the bloatware and duplicate conflicting factory utilities that have much better versions built into Win7. At the minimum I'd Clean Up Factory Bloatware which may help with performance.

If you have Blue Screens then I'd also post up in our Crashes forum for analysis if you're not ready to do the Clean Reinstall: Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums
