Login problem

I am in the process of moving our public access pcs from Windows XP to Windows 7. We are using iCam to lock the pcs until a user has booked time on the machine. Members of staff have been shutting the pcs down correctly but after a few days when you turn the pcs on, instead of the login screen displaying the username it show .\ you can click on the switch user button and still login but the .\ appears the next time you reboot. the only way to get rid of it is to remove from the domain and re-add.
