Windows 7: Main BIOS checksum error !

I had this same problem once when I had to keep pressing the On switch. My PSU failed, destroying my two DVD burners, and I immediately started getting BSODs that pointed to a corrupted BIOS. After I got a new PSU, I tried to clear the BIOS and update it, but my mobo maker's update software would not work because it already had the latest version. A new BIOS chip cost more than a new motherboard.

It is very possible that your old PSU damaged your BIOS chip.
A new PSU and a new battery will not repair a damaged BIOS chip.

I would try with a new PSU first. zebronics is not a good brand. And I fixed similar issues by replacing the PSU (and reflashing the bios afterwards).

Replacing bios chip depends from your motherboard. need to google "replace bios chip <motherboard model>" and see what results come up.

Shukla, did you have your BIOS problem BEFORE or AFTER you bought a new PSU?

BobaFett, I'm getting the impression that Shukla is having problems after installing a new PSU.

Checksum Error
I just installed a new battery, which I also checked with a DVM, so I know the battery is not the problem, but my secondary rig will only retain what I set in the BIOS until I turn off the power switch or unplug the computer. This seems to indicate that the battery isn't able to power whatever it...
