Wrong filenames on DVD
Today I was going to copy a 27GB archive from DVDs to my laptop.
There were 7 DVDs containing 531 parts of a split RAR archive.
Each DVD contained 86 parts with size 52.0 MB (54,525,952 bytes). Plus 15 parts in the last DVD.
I copied disc1(part1-86) and disc2(part87-172) but when I inserted disc3, the contents of disc3 were same as disc2. At first I thought maybe itís a mistake by those who burned the discs, but I opened the part87 from both disc2 and 3 in a hex editor and their data was different!!
It really drove me crazy and after hours of frustration and checking all the disks ,I put disc3 in again aaaaaaand there it is. The files are shown correctly!!!
Why this happened? What did I do wrong?!
