How do I fixed my keyboard in laptop only func and FN key are working?

I am experiencing such problems until now about this keyboard on my laptop because keyboard letters are not functioning same also with CTRL, SHIFT, CAPS-LOCK, Space-bar, Windows Key, punctuation marks key, ENTER or Return key, etc. Only the function(F1-F12) and FN keys are functioning. My proof is, when I open BIOS setup, F2 is working and I was able to enter in the BIOS setup and when I exit, I pressed F10 but no "Enter" bcoz it is not also working.

    Please help me guys.
I appreciate any kind of help. Thank you very much!

When did this start happening, did you spill on the keyboard?, did it slowly start to lose keys or all at once? What make model and how old the lappy?, When was the last time you open it up and cleaned it? Have you ever removed or replaced the keyboard? Are the arrow keys working as you may want to restore back to a time when they worked as something to try although it sounds like it could be a physical connection issue in the keyboard???what's your best guess as to what it is?

I had a keyboard go out on a laptop that I had used daily for over five years. Sorry, but these things are just not built for heavy use and will wear out. I was able to order a replacement and was fortunate enough to be able to find instructions online for the steps in replacing the keyboard. You will most probably have to do the same.

    Actually,
    - it happened last two weeks ago.
    - I didn't spill anything on the keyboard.
    - My keys are physically good, there are no keys start to lose.
    - The model is ACER ASPIRE E1-421, and I just bought to last year.
    - I can open now my laptop but the letter keys are not working, only the function keys and FN and I didn't cleaned it
    - I've never remove or replace my keyboard on my laptop
    - neither arrow keys arrow aren't working

This is what happened to my laptop last two weeks ago...
My friend told me to replace a skin pack for windows 7 ultimate 64-bit and it is an Android skin pack and I gave him a try and I saw everything the way he installed and it was successful. But after rebooting the windows, I was shocked that the letters in the keyboard are not working. Only function keys and FN are working. I can also press "FN + F4 (to activate/deactivate WIFI connection)", "FN + F7 (to enable/disable touchpad on my laptop)", "FN + F8 (to mute/unmute audio in my system)", etc.

I'll appreciate any kind of help. Thank you sir! :)

OK so unless I get corrected I would say you brought this on with the skin pack. I would delete it first if possible using the arrow keys and enter button. If that's a no go as you mentioned then it's time to back everything up of importance on that lappy's hard drive cause your headed toward a complete clean install and starting over. You may want to use this as a chance to upgrade to a SSD and then place your current drive in a external enclosure. This way you can transfer over all important data to the SSD temporarily then wipe and format the external and move the data back.

Good day sir! Actually, while I'm waiting for your reply, I decided to format my laptop and it was successful then I install drivers using the DVD pack drivers for ACER ASPIRE E1-421 and also Drivers Pack Solution 13. And successfully installed but I didn't saw any out-of-date driver for my "Standard SP/2 Keyboard."

I already went to device manager and the status for Standard SP/2 Keyboard: "This device is working properly." I already uninstall this driver then reboot. After rebooting, Standard SP/2 Keyboard is installing automatically and it was successful then reboot again. After rebooting, still my keyboard(NUMBER and LETTER KEYS, CTRL, CAPS-LOCK, SHIFT, TAB) is not working except for FUNCTION KEYS and FN KEY.

Pardon me sir but my keyboard in my laptop still won't work even though, according from the device manager, "This device is working properly", physically the letter and number keys are not functioning. So my conclusion, device manager is telling a lie. And I won't able now and forever, maybe, to bring my laptop everywhere and I also get tired in bringing my external keyboard.

Do you have any options sir for me to make this problem back to normal?
Thank you so much sir for the replies!

Have you tried connecting a wireless keyboard and mouse combo, they can be had for not a lot of money and this will give you productivity till you can sort out a replacement keyboard. Have you ever opened up your laptop and looked inside it? I was thinking it could also be the keyboard ribbon cable and it possibly could have failed or pulled loose?

Device Manager will not tell you if keyboard contacts are broken or failing. I already told you what you will need to do to fix this -- replace the keyboard!
