Unknown BSOD from password crack attempt
Okay, I'm pretty sure that I've lobotomized my entire windows at this point.
I forgot my password to my account a few days ago, but luckily, I previously installed Kubuntu as an alternate OS, so I still had enough access to attempt a few cracks. (This was after trying to guess my password) First, I rebooted and tried the sticky keys hack. This caused the first BSOD. I rebooted into windows again and ran startup repair, but I still didnt have the password, so I switched to kubuntu. Kubuntu actually has an application to change the password from the SAM hive file, so I ran that. Tried to open windows, second BSOD. At this point, I thought maybe it was just an error caused by illegitimate editing. I tried the kubuntu hack again to no avail. A few days passed of me just using my alternate OS and not touching windows until today. I tried to log in again, and got a BSOD again without having done anything previously. I ran startup repair, and it failed. It said something about not being able to access some memory file... Restarted, and now windows wont even attempt to startup. It gives the startup repair "loading files", shows the non-graphical "windows is loading" and then blackscreens. It wont respond at all. I'm posting this from Kubuntu right now, as I can find nothing to do about windows.
Also, I have a built-in restore, but it'll set it to factory default. I'm not sure I want to resort to that quite yet.
