    No desktop after logging in.

    Hi,
Yesterday laptop with Windows 7 has been properly closed, and today after running a complete lack of desktop. The black background and nothing more. Works only task manager and cmd. Safe mode starts up properly.
I tried to selectively disable the service take off, I checked the correctness of system files (sfc), chkdsk scanned, restored the system state, repairing the system from the installer, but still the same effect. MHDD does not show anything suspicious and logs OTL, which results in the Annex.
Issue the command with cmd explorer.exe does not work.
When you call the command iexplore or other associated with the control panel everything works. Sometimes this happens with all the icons appear and then disappear, and only remains the sidebar.
Do you have any idea how to solve the problem?

From safe mode, try running a system file checker scan from an elevated command prompt (option two.) If problems are found run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If no joy go through the troubleshooting steps prepared by one of the Forum experts.

After multiple problems with Windows 7 failing with a black screen, I finally ran CCleaner. It found and repaired over 80 registry errors mostly due to Microsoft Silverlight.

For now, at least, it seems fixed.

ganimed, can you boot into Safe Mode? If so, you might see if you can remove the Windows Silverlight software. If it still won't boot normally and the "SFC" idea above didn't work then you'll probably have to re-install Windows.

    Sorry.

if you have a background, try Ctrl+Alt+Delete and select task manager, dropdown file and click new task, type in explorer.exe and press enter

I boot my PC into a Safe Mode , the screen is black and it just says "Safe Mode" at all four corners.
On the top is written " Microsoft (R) Windows (R) (Build 7601: Service Pack 1 )

Any idea how to fix it !!!! Thank you .
