Windows 7 File Access Nightmare
I have just newly installed Windows 7 Home Basic 64. And I run into some (seemingly) bizarre file access problems. I logged in as Administrator since I am the ONLY user on my PC.
I found that some folder/files do not have "Delete" on the pull-down menu. That means they are write protected. but those file are in My Documents folder, there is NO reason why I can not access them even signed in as Administrator.
I have tried to Set Full Access to the folder/file in Properties-Security setting for all listed users. But it does not solve the problem.
I tried change ownership and it does not solve the problem, at least not consistently.
Why can't I do all the things an Administrator can do after I logged in as Administrator?! Or at least give the user some consistency in managing file security. Why make it a practice in voodoo magic? This is beyond annoying it is exasperating, as I can not do my work properly.
Is there a way to switch off all the security locks and disable them once and for all. I am prepared to give up security so I can at least do my work!
