Windows 7 key issue, 0 days left

    Windows 7 key issue, 0 days left


    i have windows 7 and my key went to 0 days and my key in the mail hasnt came yet, how do i get another 30 days i tried slmgr -rearm

    but notepad comes up and nothing like the tutorial

    Set your clock back and disable internet sync until the key arrives.

    That may be a bad idea. I believe that there are consistency check in Win7 that may cause unfortunate things to happen if you play with the system clock.

    Did you run slmgr -rearm from a command window with elevated privileges? It's necessary. (To open a command line window with elevated privileges, go to the system 32 directory in your Windows directory. Run cmd.exe as administrator.)

    I'm not sure whether this will work with an expired grace period. One suggestion I've seen is that you can boot into Safe Mode and run it then. Haven't tried it.

    Another way to run an elevated cmd - win key -> type "cmd" -> right click, run as administrator.

    From a command prompt enter slmgr.vbs -rearm ... Enjoy

    upload a screenshot of the command prompt with the command entered, and the notepad..

    I got even better heres what comes up when i put slmgr.vbs -rearm
    in

    Note its the actual file
