    Computer *Jet Engine Sound* *Using Too Much Memory*


    My computer has started to sound like a jet engine when it starts consuming memory almost all of it with only google chrome open right now its consuming 1.12gb when i turn it on it sounds like a jet engine and when i play ang games even halo and it starts consuming memory it starts making that terrible sound.

    Well the memory and cpu usage seems fine, Um. Have you tried cleaning out any dust? or making sure the computer isn't heating up? I know the fan on my laptop doesn't kick up the power until I accidentally block the fan.

    Might be heating up . how do i check to see if it is? and no i have not tryed cleaning any dust .

    Well if it sounds like the jet engine feel around, or get a program called SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer it can tell you the temperature.

    But yeah cleaning out dust will allow better airflow and keep it from overheating.

    I would say, tomorrow try cleaning out some dust. And recheck it.

    I recommend a can of compressed air, and anti static cloth? I think thats what they are. And give your PC a good clean.
