Unable to open control panel due to windows explorer error

    Hi,

I have the following problems in my laptop:-

    - Unable to control panel. A windows explorer error message flashes every time I try to open control panel.
    - Windows firewall doesn't open on start up and manual start up is also not possible
    - AVG antivirus icon appears in taskbar but closes once the mouse is scrolled over the same and hence virus updation is not happening.
    - I have done scanning using microsoft online scanner but it couldn't detect any malware or virus.
    - I tried to open the control panel through run command but failed.
    - Also many utilities like disk cleanup, cc cleaner, regedit, msconfig, etc could not be opened. The screen just flashes and goes off when I try to open these utilities.
    - Also tried to open the control panel through safe mode and safe mode with networking but failed.
    - Sometimes lot of windows update icons appear on taskbar but goes off when mouse is scrolled over them.
    - Also system restore is not possible
    - SFC and CHKDSK are also done

    My system configuration:-

    - Hewlett-Packard Compaq Presario CQ61
    - Windows7 home premium 64 bit SP1
    - 2.20 GHz Intel Core2 Duo

Please help me resolve this issue.

    Regards
    Subramonian

    Hi,

The FSS.exe and FRST64.exe didn't work in normal mode and hence I scanned the same under Safe Mode with networking mode. The results are attached herewith.
